Awards and accolades? Effies, One Show, Cannes, Clios, New Employee of the Year at Venables Bell, Citizen of the Year in Ms. McCartney's third-grade class, Slowest Guy on Kellam High School basketball team.

What are you passionate about? Getting to the most viable way to win. It eats at me when I'm searching for it. My wife hates that part.

What do you do outside of work? I teach at UNC. I go to the movies once a week. I'm an amateur ice cream maker. I'm a fairly dedicated father, son, and husband (in no order).

Do you have a philosophy? Strategy is a contact sport. It doesn't live in decks or briefs. It lives in conversations, choices, and challenges—constantly colliding with reality. I don't make strategies. I do strategy. Out in the world. Moving, absorbing, adapting.
